Our commitment to each customer experience starts with making banking accessible to every customer. From Colonial Federal branch locations to ATMs and our online & mobile banking options, we are committed to meeting our customer's needs with continued accessibility enhancements.
Sight Checks
Large print, raised lined business sized checks, allow for easy reading and check writing and can be oriented by touch. Available to order online, by phone or at your nearest Colonial Federal branch. Call 617-471-0750 or email service@colonialfed.com for more information.
Enlarged Check Images on Statements
Upon request, we will provide enlarged check images of the front and back of the processed checks associated with your account along with your monthly statement (minimum number of 4 checks per page). To request this free service call 1-617-471-0750 or visit a Colonial Federal branch.
Mail in Deposits
Customers have the option to mail in their deposits to:

Be sure to include the deposit account information, as well as the total amount of deposit.
Once processed, we will send receipt of deposit to the address on file.
Mobile App & Online Banking
Colonial Federal continues to update our mobile and online banking applications to provide the best experience for all our customers. Our latest theme (Maverick) was designed with accessibility at its core, and was tested with multiple research test groups prior to launch. Telephone Banking Services
There are several telephone banking options to make your finances more convenient:

TTY and Telecommunications Relay Services: Callers who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or have speech impairment may contact Colonial Federal through TTY (Text Telephone) or other Operator Assisted Relay services. Your preferred Telecommunications Relay Service should call Colonial Federal at 617-471-0750.
ATMs
All of our ATMs are accessible to customers with disabilities.
Audio Capability: Access in English by plugging in a standard headset-You'll be guided through your transaction while the screen appears blank. A braille sticker on all ATMs directs vision-impaired customers to the audio jack.
Design Features: All ATMs provide height and reach requirements to support wheelchair accessibility and are fully complaint with ADA guidelines.
Bank Locations
Our Colonial Federal branch locations are designed with accessibility and convenience in mind:
- New branches features automated accessible doors, as well as accessible vestibules, washrooms and wheelchair-access to ATMs, Tellers, and service areas.
- Service animals are welcome in our branches.
- Retrofitting of older branches to enhance accessibility is an ongoing process. The recent main office renovation now provides a wheelchair accessible teller counter.
- Where possible, at least one parking space is reserved for customers with disabilities.

Enabling a comfortable online experience
Colonialfed.com is accessible from most current browsers, and text content has been built primarily with HTML enabling text-to-speech applications. There are no audio or video files on the site. However, we can't guarantee the format will work with every application, and encourage everyone to update their technology and utilize the latest version of their web browser which includes assistive technology, whenever possible.
There are a number of accessibility features on your computer and mobile device that can help maximize the comfort of your online experience. Things like:
